Black Hole Devour

A doomed star torn into a glowing stream and swallowed whole.

A wandering star strays too close and is ripped apart, its gas drawn out into a brilliant spiral stream that winds down into the black hole's accretion disk. Twin relativistic jets fire from the poles while light bends around the dark core. The star reforms and the tidal disruption plays out again, endlessly. Adjust the speed and stream density, recolor the disk and the doomed star, and toggle the jets and lensing.
